Lake Shikotsu is located in Chitose City in Hokkaido, with just 90 minutes drive from Sapporo and only 40 minutes from the new Chitose Airport.Visitors can take in the spectacular views of the surrounding mountains while enjoying activities on the lake such as canoeing. Also Lake Shikotsu also offers cruises on sightseeing boats and high-speed ferries.
In the Lake Toya region features hot springs and an active volcano, which Mt.Usu last erupted in the year 2000. The area also offers many fishing, hiking, and camping opportunities.
